In the state of Colorado, Real Estate Brokers are licensed and regulated by the Colorado Division of Real Estate. In order to become a Real Estate Broker here, we are required to take certain educational courses approved by the State. Furthermore we are subject to a background check including a fingerprint search.
I am also a member of the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors. This local group also regulates its members and requires a high level of ethics. The majority of realtors in the area are members of this association.
The Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors maintains a database of all property for sale by member Real Estate Brokers. This includes most all of the properties in the area. Unlike the system in many other countries, you do not have to contact each real estate broker individually to get information on his or her listings. A great advantage to you, is that you can work with one Real Estate professional (me) to get information on all property. We cooperate with each other.
